Experience Real-World Skills with Trinity Valley Exposition
Mark your calendars for the TVE Ag Mech Build-Off on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Trinity Valley Exposition. This hands-on contest invites teams of FFA students to tackle a real job-site challenge: building a utility trailer from the ground up within a single day.
- Teams of 4 FFA students, supervised by their advisors, will construct a 6’ x 10’ trailer using provided kits (cost: $700 per kit).
- All essential materials—flooring, wiring, tires, lights, and fenders—are included. Each team must bring its own tools and equipment.
- Blueprints will be sent out five days prior to the event, and all teams will receive a detailed parts list at the welcome meeting at 7:15 AM.
- Safety is a top priority: PPE (safety glasses, long sleeves, boots, etc.) is required at all times.
- Judges will evaluate teams on safety practices, site cleanliness, craftsmanship, and completed trailer quality.
- No lunch break—lunch will be provided at noon, so teams can send students as needed.
- All entries must be submitted via JudgingCard by 3:00 PM on September 18, 2026.
Prizes include belt buckles, banners, and buckets of goodies for top teams, with a special large prize for 1st place. Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase your skills and teamwork in a dynamic, competitive atmosphere!
