Get ready for an unforgettable experience at the 2026 TVE Calf Scramble! This annual event is open to active 4-H and FFA students enrolled in Liberty or Chambers County schools, grades 8–11. If you caught and were awarded a calf at the 2025 show, be sure to mark your calendar for important dates—including the entry deadline on May 13 and tag-in on May 16.
Event Highlights & Key Dates
- Entry Deadline: May 13, 2026
- Tag-In: May 16, 2026 at 6:30 AM
- Mid Point Check-In & Clinic: August 8, 2026
- Weigh-In/Classification: October 18, 2026
- Calf Scramble Show: October 20, 2026 at 6:00 PM (in conjunction with the Commercial Heifer show)
- Youth Auction: October 23, 2026
- Freezer Sale: October 24, 2026
All in-county heifers must turn in an affidavit by midnight the Wednesday before tag-in to be eligible for the In-County Award—no exceptions. Printable forms and drop box links are available at the bottom of the event page. Late or hand-delivered requests will not be accepted.
